The “Time to Rise” campaign is Angkor Dance Troupe’s initiative to provide scholarships for youth to join our Khmer dance and music classes. These programs are more than just arts education—they are a vital part of preserving Cambodian culture and empowering the next generation.
About Angkor Dance Troupe
Founded in Lowell, Massachusetts—home to the second largest Cambodian-American community in the U.S., with approximately 35,000 residents—Angkor Dance Troupe has been a beacon of hope and cultural preservation since 1986.
Our city is home to many Khmer families who fled the horrors of the Khmer Rouge regime in search of safety and a brighter future. Despite the challenges of resettlement, these families have worked tirelessly to rebuild their lives while holding on to their rich cultural heritage.
Angkor Dance Troupe was established to give the Khmer community, especially its youth, a way to reconnect with their roots and identity. Over the years, we’ve become a pillar of our community, offering traditional Khmer dance and music classes that inspire pride, confidence, and leadership.
Why Your Support Matters
Many of the youth we serve face financial barriers that prevent them from accessing these programs. Yet, for them, these classes are transformative—providing a sense of belonging, self-confidence, and a connection to their heritage.

- $100 funds two class sessions.
- $250 provides half a semester of classes.
- $500 fully supports one student for an entire semester.
